My name is Jen, and I love to travel.

But I don’t like to call it “traveling”. The word doesn’t fully encompass the experience I want. Traveling, to me, is the bit on the plane, the how-you-get-from-A-to-B. That first bit that’s a little exciting, because you’re Going Away, but it’s not the best part.

I want to live in different places, meet new people, & experience different cultures.

Leaving Santa Cruz. Galápagos, Ecuador.

I’m ok with this picture. Sad because I’m leaving Santa Cruz. Galápagos, Ecuador.

So, I created One Year 75 Times. The idea for the name came from a meme. I can’t remember the picture, but it said: Don’t live the same year seventy-five times and call it a life.

“That’s what I’m doing!”

Well, I had managed to change my life a few times, but it’s still the same outfit with different accessories. I’m still running a race I have no desire to win. The American Dream simply isn’t my dream.

So, I created One Year 75 Times to share my travel experiences and, hopefully, to inspire others to venture outside of their comfort zone. There is so much more.

I’ll be posting stories and pictures from my travels, reviews of places I’ve stayed and experiences I’ve had, and tips and tricks for traveling for less.

The World is a big, beautiful, amazing place.

Live. Explore. Travel.*

*Again: need a better word, but you get the idea.
